Interscholastic athletic competition is conducted in
a fair and equitable manner and promotes the values of participation in
school athletics as an integral part of a student's educational
experience. Texas schools recognize and promote academics, the safety of
participants, good citizenship and lifelong values as the foundation of
interscholastic athletics.
