Four distinction designations were earned by Benavides ISD schools during the 2015-2016 school year.
Distinction designations are awarded to campuses based on achievement on performance indicators compared to a group of 40 campuses of similar type, size and student demographics. The four performance indicators are Student Achievement (Index 1), Student Progress (Index 2), Closing Performance Gaps (Index 3) and Postsecondary Readiness (Index 4).
Under the state accountability system, data shows that Benavides Secondary received one distinction for Postsecondary Readiness.
Under the state accountability system, data shows that Benavides Elementary received three distinctions: Academic Achievement in ELA/Reading distinction for scores in the ELA, Top 25 Percent Student Progress distinction, and Top 25 Percent Closing Performance Gaps.
Thank you to all our students, teachers and administrators for receiving the four distinction designations because it represents their hard work with academics this past school year.
