South Texas Career Expo
Benavides Secondary students attended the South Texas Career Expo
in Kingsville, Texas on Friday, April 9, 2010. The Expo offers
a hands-on approach where actual instructors, business or industry
personnel give demonstrations to students. The
information that they provide includes required course work and
future career opportunities. Presenters bring actual equipment
and resources to demonstrate and to try to attract students to their
program.
The program involves a
hands-on, browse format for specific career disciplines in which
actual instructors, business or industry personnel, present
demonstrations. The goal is to provide a more comprehensive overview
of the required course work and future career opportunities.
Presenters who bring actual equipment and resources to demonstrate
are extremely successful in attracting students to their program. |
