Prom King and Queen

Benavides Secondary Junior Class selected Michelle Canales and Kevin Rivera as the 2010 Prom King and Queen on Saturday, May 1, 2010.  Michelle Canales is the daughter of Johnny Canales and the late Nilda Canales.  Kevin Rivera is the son of Frederico and Elva Rivera. 

On Saturday, May 1, 2010 the Junior Class hosted the Junior/Senior Banquet & Prom.  The students & their sponsors spent countless hours in organizing and in creating a theme of "Lucky" to make the prom a memorable event for all.  Class officers are President - , Vice President -  Secretary - & Treasurer - .  Sponsors for the Junior Class are Donna Canales, Ismael Villa, and Jeremy Wheeler

The Benavides Lady Eagles Softball Team earned the title of District runner-ups.  They finished the season with an overall record of 13-3 and a district record of 11-3.
