Improving Literacy Through School Libraries Grant Program was awarded to the Jr. High library program. One of the purposes of the grant was to increase parental involvement in family literacy activites. Students from Mrs. Gracie Barton's classes participated in  a Reader's Theatre production of Anne Frank for the parents.
